Termination Board
Description:
The DTEC Ltd. GESIN termination board connects via ribbon cable to the
GESPAC digital input card. The GESPAC digital input card and GESIN termination
board allows connection and indication for 32 digital inputs. The connection to
peripheral equipment is provided by the screw type terminal strips and
indication of channel status provided by LED illumination. Illuminated LEDs
signal an active input. The GESPAC digital input active state is active low
therefore the LEDs will illuminate when the input level is logic ground. The
GESIN termination board receives its' power and ground from the GESPAC Card
through the ribbon cable, therefore failure to connect the GESIN termination
board properly to the GESPAC digital input card will result in no or improper
operation of the termination board.

Circuit
Description:
When an input channel level is at logic ground the corresponding LED is
illuminated by current produced from the voltage drop across the 560 ohm
resistor. The 560 ohm resistors are in a common buss sip package. All channels
function similarly. The 560 ohm sip resistors are rated for .2 watt per
individual resistor, 1 watt per package.
